On the 4th of January, the Malta Merchant Shipping Directorate issued a notice concerning the following vessel certificates that are due to expire on the 20th of February:

– Certificate of Insurance or other financial security in respect of Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage;
– Certificate of Insurance or other financial security in respect of Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage;
– Certificate of Insurance or other financial security in respect of Liability for the removal of wrecks; and
– Certificate of Insurance or other financial security in respect of Liability for the death of and personal injury to passengers (War and Non-War).

The Directorate reminds all concerned about the necessary arrangements needed for the issuance of the new blue cards covering period February 2017 – February 2018. All applications are to be sent to clcmalta.tm@transport.gov.mt and should include the name of the ship/s either in the subject field or in the text field.
